What Is Netra Tarpan?

Netra Tarpan is a classical Ayurvedic therapy for the eyes. A small ring of dough is placed around each eye and filled with warm, medicated ghee. The eyes are bathed in this healing ghee for 10 to 15 minutes, allowing the preparation to penetrate and nourish the delicate tissues.

How It Works

The medicated ghee used in Netra Tarpan is prepared with herbs like Triphala, which have been used for eye health for thousands of years. The warmth and the herbal actives together lubricate the eyes, strengthen the eye muscles and flush out fatigue and strain.

Benefits of Netra Tarpan

Regular sessions help improve eyesight, relieve eye fatigue and strain, reduce burning and redness, and deeply nourish the eyes. It is especially beneficial for people who spend long hours on screens, read extensively, or feel dryness and heaviness in the eyes by evening.

What to Expect in a Session

You simply lie down comfortably while the ghee pool rests over your closed eyes. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing. Afterwards, the eyes feel fresh, light and rested. A course of several sessions, planned personally by our doctor, gives the most lasting results.
